Headteacher’s Info

our school

Elfed High School is an 11 – 16 community-focused secondary school located in the town of Buckley, Flintshire, North Wales.

We currently have 900 pupils on roll, both from within Buckley and from further afield.
We enjoy an excellent reputation for academic success and a real focus on student wellbeing.

The school’s performance is consistently above expectations for most key indicators and pupils make good progress from previous key stages.

There is a strong culture of reflection and collaboration in sharing best practice in teaching, assessment and skills through effective development in all areas.

We are very proud of our history, having first opened our doors in 1954. Our traditional building boasts wide corridors and spacious classrooms which provide an excellent learning environment for our students.

We have five core values which are central to life at Elfed High School. These are Respect, Honesty, Integrity, High Aspirations and Self Belief. By instilling these values we can ensure that every student leaves Elfed ready to thrive in the wider community.
