We run a range of events to help primary school pupils, their parents and families see the school in action and learn about the many opportunities available at Elfed High School.
The next Open Day will be on Thursday 5th October 2017. There will be working day visits by appointment throughout the day. Open Evening is an informal event for families, come along at a time to suit you between 5.00pm and 7.30pm.
Working day visits are available throughout the year at a time to suit you – please call 01244 550217 to make an appointment.
Visitors are invited to tour the school and see learning in action. We have an open door policy and will be delighted to show you round on any normal working day. Please contact the school office for an appointment.
Pupils in Years 4, 5 and 6 of the local primary schools are involved in our transition programme, with plenty of events to prepare for a smooth move to high school. There are two induction days in July when all new students spend time getting to know one another and meeting their teachers before they start school in September. Students with special educational needs or disabilities are invited for individual visits in addition to these days.
Elfed Extra Smooth Move is a programme of activities for pupils and their families to prepare for the move to Elfed High School.
All parents and carers of new students are invited to the Welcome Evening in May when they learn more about the timing of the school day, what to wear, the curriculum and other aspects of life at the school.
