The Elfed High School Alumni
Since Elfed High School opened its door on 5th January 1954, over 50,000 students have attended, with many families now in the third generation of Elfedians. As our purpose states, we are an Outstanding Learning Community and our former students are important to us.
We celebrated our 60th anniversary in 2014 and amongst with the plans to mark the occasion we will create the Elfed High School Alumni community. This gives former students the opportunity to reconnect with the School and their fellow students.
The Elfed High School Alumni will be developed to benefit current and future students as well as providing a welcome for former students to revisit a place and time that had a big impact on their lives. We are looking forward to celebrating the success of former students along with the current cohort of young people.
The first step is to connect with our alumni, so as a former student of the school you can help by answering some questions. Please email your reply to firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject ‘Elfed Alumni’.

It is always good to keep in touch with old friends. Here is a message we received from Richard Jeffiries, former Elfed High School student from the 1960s.
I was pleased to see that the old School is doing so well, also that you are working on a connection, for past , present and future students, I believe it is an important thing to keep in touch with your past.
I left Elfed in 1968, I had attended Canon Drew School ,in Hawarden and failed my 11+ exam, but, as it turned out that failure lead me to some of the best times and memories of my life.
I have been living in Montreal, Canada since 1986, I believe some of my past student friends are in other parts of the world, I often think back to those days, Happy days.
Thanks for everything you are doing, it’s very important.
