Year 10 Examinations, Full Report and Progress Evening
All students in Year 10 will sit the external GCSE examinations in Maths and Science in May / June 2018. This is valuable experience that will help to develop the revision skills and examination technique needed for success in Year 11. Selected student will also sit their English Language GCSE in Year 10.
On Friday 10th November 2017 we will send an interim report to let Parents and Carers know how their child is settling down in Year 10.
Parents and Carers are invited to the Year 10 Progress Evening on Thursday 16th November 2017 (4.30pm – 7.00pm).
The full report on progress in Year 10 will be sent to Parents and Carers on Friday 18th May 2018.
We aim for full attendance in Year 10 and ask Parents and Carers to avoid taking holidays in term time so that students do not miss out on learning opportunities. Every lesson counts at Elfed High School.
Year 10 students are welcome to come to Study Club in the Library from 8.30am to 8.50am and from 3.30pm to 4.00pm.
Year 10 students are welcome to come to the Dining Room between 8.15am and 8.50am for Get Started Club. There are snacks and drinks available for your breakfast. Take advantage of the opportunity to meet up with new friends and to have some support with learning and completing homework tasks.
We are keen to praise and reward our students with Vivo reward points for full attendance, punctuality and outstanding achievements. Parents and Carers can log on to their child’s on line account by using personal Vivo log in details. Please contact the Vivo Shop for further information about this scheme.
